WHAT IF WE CONSIDER DIET SIMPLY THE WAY WE EAT?

As we all know what the meaning of diet is...


DIET HAS BECOME AN OBSESSIVE WORD

A healthy diet is obviously more restrictive than just a diet, but it is easier to follow than what we think or want to believe.


DIET MEANS THE WAY WE EAT

Diet is just a way to replenish energy in our body, whom systems need HEALTH FOOD to work at their BEST.

If you noticed some stubborn fat, lack of sleep or rest, during the day you become bloated, or constipated, tired or sleepy, you are not hungry or too hungry; if your mood swings or if your stress increases; if you have some common skin, hair or nails problems such as too dry, irritable, discoloured, fragile, sensitive, infected .. all the above is most likely related to the quality of your fuel.


WHAT IF YOU CAN FEEL GREAT AND FULL OF ENERGY EVERY DAY?

Our body is directed by hormones that with the right fuel will help your metabolism and balance your body's functions.

DIET MEANS KEEPING IT SIMPLE

The simpler you eat the easier will be for your hormones to act properly.

Overworking is not good: not for you nor for your body!

STRESS IS INCREASED BY STRESSFUL WORKLOAD IN YOUR BODY

We all know that stress can cause illness and over-stressing your body with a bad diet could lead to the worse.

If you stress your body everything else will also become a stress!


WHY IS NOT EASY TO FOLLOW A HEALTHY DIET?

Usually ready meals and packed food are full of artificial chemical elements that improve the hunger, the weight gain, the stress, the blood pressure, the ADDICTION. Addiction plays the biggest role in the fall back and in breaking the cycle.


To keep it simple you need good MACRONUTRIENTS (which contain also the best micronutrients) carbs, protein and fat (40:30:30): if you eat at work or take away go for fruit, salad and smoked salmon/prawns or turkey breast and a couple of nuts at your local shop, if you prefer hot meals and you have access to a microwave cook a few veggies with ready fish fillet/chicken breast otherwise just bresaola/tuna or (low fat) cheese, if food is provided choose what is not fried (nor too rich) add some protein, add brown grains options (or none if not available)! If you are vegan you can have a natural spirulina protein shake and lots of pulses and seeds to intake enough protein! If you are vegetarian boiled eggs or low fat cheese! When you are at home you can cook (barbecue, grill, oven, non-sticky pan to avoid oil) and make big and main course salads, with fruit, cooked vegetables, brown grains/quinoa or a slice of brown bread (carbohydrates) and meat/fish/cheese (protein) adding fresh olive oil/seeds/avocado (fat)

Many vegetables contain a lot of properties which are better absorbed by our digestive system raw many others cooked. Variation and balance are key!

If you can, prepare your meals in bulk for the week ahead!

NO EXCUSES NOWHERE!

EASY!!!


ON THE OTHER HAND…

Hormones governate also the digestive system: If food is “comfort and pleasure” that will lift your soul in that short period of time (or will please the self-destructive desire) you can allow yourself a treat but you also know you can’t just cover real problems with Nutella...

Ask yourself why and what makes you feel that way and try to find a joke to cheer you up and instead of carrying on with self-destructive thoughts, TRY to distract yourself first then pick your choice. Food can be a reward and a sensible treat after a healthy meal will not make you fat (dark chocolate, pop corn & more contain polyphenols- always positive!)


 

Remember that by increasing physical activity you can increase the necessity of calories: be positive and focus on building muscles, the greatest calorie burner of the body with 13.0 kcal/kg per day, much more than fat with 4.5 kcal/kg, and bone with 2.3 kcal/kg , the more muscles the greater resting energy expenditure!

You should never be upset with yourself neither regret the past because you are the only one suffering.. EVERY SECOND IS A NEW SECOND OF YOUR LIFE, take the stress out in the gym or breaking bricks!


WHEN YOU WILL FEEL GOOD WITH YOURSELF YOU WILL TREAT YOURSELF IN THE RIGHT WAY
